• 2009 ‐ first and only CMC manufacturer to be awarded the PPFA "Recognition for Innovation" Award, for a history of CMC innovations.

• 2009 ‐ first CMC to win the Gold SMAC Innovation Award at the SMAC 2009 industry show in Paris.

• 2009 - first CMC manufacturer to offer free, online video training tutorials.

• 2010 - first CMC top operate on Windows 7 operating system.

• 2010 - first CMC to offer a true 3D graphics engine for rendering accurate, proportional view of mats & mat thickness.

• 2010 - first CMC to offer Direct Draw capability to draw or change any figure with the mouse, on the fly, without the use of external or separate software.

• 2010 - first CMC to offer full infinite dynamic zoom capability of the view screen with the mouse wheel. 

• 2011 - first CMC manufacturer to be awarded the "Entreprenuer of the Year" German Art Trading industry honour in 2011.

• 2011 - first CMC with a completely integrated pen tool - requiring no tools or head change whatsoever.

• 2013 - first CMC software to include completely integrated 3D Visualisation of framed images.

• 2013 - first industry software to offer true, genuine 3D Visualisation of mouldings and framed images.

• 2014 - first CMC manufacturer to celebrate 20 years in Australia.

Andreas Weissenberger, the inventor and owner of Gunnar CMC manufacturing, was recently award the prestigious "PPFA Recognition for Innovation" Award in 2009. This award is specifically reserved for individuals who have made a dramatic impact to the industry, due to their pioneering efforts and contributions.

WINNER - GERMAN ART TRADING AWARD 2011

Andreas Weissenberger, CEO of Gunnar, was awarded the "Entrepreneur of the Year" award, during an industry event at Art Fair 2011 held in Nürnberg Germany.

WINNER - FINE ART TRADE GUILD INNOVATION AWARD 2007

Gunnar were the first CMC manufacturer ever, to win the prestigious "Innovation Award", from the Fine Art Trade Guild for the revolutionary "Gunnar Tool Head" - which featured the ability to offer decorative and elegant debossing and creasing for box making for the first time in our industry.
